A production record describes what happened at a plant. A mandate defines what Wattstamp can do on behalf of a producer, and under which conditions:the plants and contracts involved, the duration, the rights granted and the obligations of each participant.
Once signed, the mandate is linked to the plant’s verified data and its terms become rules, applied automatically to every verified MWh:what is produced, who it belongs to, what is due. That is what makes a mandate programmable.
Its future revenue becomes predictable and verifiable, and a predictable, verifiable revenue stream is an asset: it can be valued, pooled into the Vault and financed.Sharing data alone does not create those rights. Mandates do.
